Civil Liberty Australia's electronic Annual General Meeting for 2012 has concluded, with a 54% ‘turnout’ and a unanimous vote of approval for the annual reports, as well as many compliments for the work of the Board and the organisation.
In preparation for the 2012 electronic Annual General Meeting (eAGM) voting the following reports are provided for the information of members:
Voting for this year’s eAGM begins on 19 March, and goes until 2 April. All financial members with a unique email address will be sent a ballot paper electronically on 19 March otherwise a postal ballot paper will be forwarded to the member’s postal address. Details of how members can lodge their votes will be included in the mailings.
A formal call for Notice of Motion(s) is made for this year’s eAGM. Any proposal will need to be lodged before 5pm 18 February 2012.
e-Voting will be available at this year's electronic Annual General Meeting (eAGM) for financial members of CLA.
For e-voting, each CLA member must have a unique email address (rather than, say, one email address covering two or three members of a family, as happens in a few cases). Without a unique email address, a member cannot participate in e-voting, but can still lodge a postal vote.
But, if you have used your email address on our on-line membership system you do not need to do any thing more than advise us if your email address has changed.
Civil Liberties Australia electronic annual general meeting (eAGM) process begins on 1 February with voting taking place between 19 March and 2 April 2012.
This year's eAGM does not involves the election of office bearers as their term expires in 2013. The eAGM will consider any major notices of motion and, as required by regulation, voting on the annual reports of CLA.
