Tyrannical comment shocks, disturbs

Your tyrannical announcement on the 5th of February’s news, that body scanners will be mandatory for passengers at all Australian airports was shocking and very disturbing to many Australians!

Please stop trying to convince us that it is completely safe.  Most of us know better!  This claim reveals extreme ignorance or complicity of this criminal abuse of power.  NO amount of radiation is completely safe!  This reckless policy will put workers, children, pregnant women, young people of child bearing age, seniors, cancer patients and people with thyroid/endocrine conditions and seizures at risk.  There are NO independent, long-term studies on the safety of this technology.  But, there are many independent studies revealing exposure to radiation, no matter how small, causes serious long-term damage.  Government leaders are obviously not concerned about the health and safety of its workers, citizens or visitors, who are at risk.  No doubt, history will record those responsible for the fiasco that is about to unfold!

This draconian policy will also significantly deter international tourists from coming to Australia and many Australians from travelling.  Feedback on many sites already indicate this.

Why is Canberra not on the list of airports installing body scanners?  Why are those in government not also subjected to mandatory body scanners?

It is deeply disappointing that you and the PM have succumbed to this outrageously foolish $28 million racket and draconian policy, under the guise of security!   One only has to look at the Board of Directors of the company selling these death machines  http://www.l-3com.com/about-l-3/board-of-directors.html to see the conflict of interest!  These war mongering scoundrels are laughing all the way to the bank.  They consider the Australian government a "piece of cake" for buying into their war on terror scam.  Same scenario as what transpired with the multi-million $ bird flu vaccine scam a while back.

BTW...according to reliable witnesses, the Nigerian underpants bomber was escorted on the plane without a passport, by special security agents, after he was refused to board by airline staff!  Obviously, yet another false flag operation to justify the multi million $ racket of selling body scanners.  Sadly, the PM has outdone Howard, with the same policies she strongly criticised him for.

One has to ask.... Just who is government working for?  Certainly, not the voters who pay their salaries.  While there are some good, hard working people in this government, its bad and wasteful policies, such as this one, are doing significant damage and have lost a lot of support.  Plus, they are not listening to the very people they are supposed to be representing.

Many Labor supporters are totally disgusted and will certainly remember this unacceptable abuse of power at election time.  It is just a matter of time before the truth unfolds!  Hopefully, you will reconsider this very foolishly wasteful and dangerous policy.

Cover-up: Cancer from Airport Body Scanners

FOIA documents reveal how “large numbers of workers have been falling victim to cancer, strokes and heart disease.

Fearful of provoking more public resistance to naked airport body scanners, the TSA has been caught covering up a surge in cases of TSA workers developing cancer as a result of their close proximity to radiation-firing devices.

This is the latest shocking revelation to emerge from the FOIA documents obtained by the Electronic Privacy Information Center.

After Union representatives in Boston discovered a “cancer cluster” amongst TSA workers linked with radiation from the body scanners, the TSA sought to downplay the matter and refused to allow employees with dosimeters to measure levels of exposure.
