Foreign Minister asked to campaign for press freedom

CLA has written to Foreign Minister Stephen Smith asking him to formally campaign for press freedom in two countries where Australia has contributed significant funds and resources, Afhganistan and Sri Lanka. The media is under judicial and government attack, and Australia has the right and a responsibility to speak out for press freedom, CLA says.
