This little piggie took to lipstick…

Notwithstanding all the tiresome huffing & puffing by the aptly labelled Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security on the detail of the Abbott government’s most serious attack on the human & legal rights of Australian citizens & its determination to destroy the independent role of our nation’s judiciary, the simple fact remains that both major political parties have shown themselves willing to conspire in the birth of our new Police State (‘Intelligence committee hamstrings citizenship-stripping bill’, yesterday).

All the lipstick in the world won’t cover the lips of that sick pig.

  1. A careful reading of the original bill left me horrified. It was beyond Orwellian, essentially giving a Govt minister the power to do whatever he wants. Completely insane and unacceptable. I was quite literally planning my emigration from Australia. Who could live in a country with laws like that. Provided ALL the recommendations of the JCIS are accepted I won’t say I’ll be ecstatic but I would be a lot lot happier than I am now.
