CLA has been censored by a Parliamentary Committee, which is refusing to publish online a submission by CLA. The reason, the committee says, is that the CLA submission reflects poorly on a public official. But the CLA submission is merely reporting what the official is accurately reported as saying in Hansard. In other words, the parliamentary committee is censoring use of Hansard…which seems beyond any committee’s powers. We’re asking the Privileges Committee what can be done to protect Hansard…and our freedom of speech.
