How to re-balance criminal inequality

The elephant in the room of gender inequality (‘Want more pay? Fight for it, women’, BusinessDay, 27 November 2015, p14, Canberra Times) is imprisonment rate, where men outnumber women by about 13 to 1 (reference Aust. Inst. Criminology).  Fixing this would automatically fix the problem in other areas. However, the obvious solution of reducing criminal tendencies in males would also reduce Australia’s competitiveness in international business and politics.  Instead, we should try to increase criminal tendencies in females from an early age – Mike Dallwitz, Giralang ACT
