Dumb Baroness
bans a book…
to boost sales?

Andy Hayman’s book, The Terrorist Hunters, has been banned in Britain.

An injunction has been issued: no-one outside those immediately involved is allowed to see even what is in the injunction.  Anyone who knows why the book has been banned is not allowed to tell you. You’re not allowed to know which passage (apparently one only) is the problem.

Who is this low-life author, who is a threat to society and to police efforts against terrorists in Britain, this writer of prose so purple that it can’t be seen by the people?  Andy Hayman is Scotland Yard’s former anti-terrorism chief.

The interim injunction was issued at the dead of night, just before midnight, by a High Court judge after a hearing conducted by phone conference call. The injunction was sought by Baroness Scotland QC, the A-G for England and Wales.

She has just been in Australia, advising our A-G Robert McClelland. Let’s hope he didn’t listen to anything she said. It should be emphasised that she is a political appointee in the British system, not an eleced politician and member of cabinet as in the Australian system.

The only rational reason for the Baroness seeking an injunction would be if she had shares in the publishing company…for nothing is more calculated to boost sales of the book, and draw attention to a controversial passage, than a ban.

Well done, Baroness! Though only a life peer, you’re showing the traditional traits of the hereditary UK upper classes. Dumb, dumber, dumbest.
