A Victorian Parliamentary Committee has come down against expanding human rights law in that State…and rights and liberties may even be cut back or eliminated (see item in CLArion newsletter, October 2011). However, the Victorian committee has provided a useful background on the history of the struggle for rights and liberties laws in Australia and in its other states and territories.
