Australian celebrate Eureka Day on 3 December each year, the anniversary of the Eureka Stockade ‘rebellion’ on the Ballarat goldfields. The miners rallied under the first ‘Australian’ flag against police methods, and for the vote and representative govenment. Today, CLA continues the battle but in different ways, to ensure ordinary Australians retain their civil liberties.
