Our government’s considering outsourcing the Australian Public Service to that global bastion of competence and probity, India. I say they’re not going nearly far enough: I propose that we outsource Parliament itself. I suggest we engage the government of Norway, which uses the country’s common wealth for the benefit of Norwegians, where ours uses it for the benefit of the fabulously wealthy. Or perhaps Iceland’s, which, instead of giving vast sums of taxpayer’s money to the bankers who caused the financial crisis, throws them in prison

I’d be more than happy to pay whatever our current government costs us — or more – for the benefit of such competence.

  1. Nice one Fred. I’ve thought for some time it would make sense to outsource defence to China. They would do it much more efficiently, certainly cheaper and there would be no reason for either side to behave aggressively. It might even tend to slow the ‘cultural invasion’ from the other side of the lake. I have to concede though, your solution is tidier and more complete.
